Study Abroad Japan: Cosplay parade draws visitors from all over the world to celebrate

Cosplay is defined by Wikipedia as

"Cosplay (コスプレ, kosupure?), short for "costume play",[1] is basically describing a performing-art behaviour of self-rigging out as a character with corresponding costume, accessories and/or parameters."

Akihabara in Tokyo has one of the largest Cosplay venues in Japan with many shops providing services to Cosplay fans

"We are absolutely fascinated by 'cosplay' (costume play) in Japan," Lee said before the parade. "We will absolutely have a good time at the parade. Japan is absolutely a crazy place."
